KrattWorks: autonomous aircraft and industrial production

KrattWorks recorded €19.5 million of2025sales. Its product families, Estonian buyer relationship and changing consortium role show the industrial work behind that growth.

KrattWorks is an Estonian aircraft manufacturer with two visible product businesses: reconnaissance aircraft and aerial targets used in training and evaluation. Its latest accounts show a large increase in sales during 2025. At the same time, its public development work and manufacturing plans suggest that the next commercial challenge is making the organisation and production process fit that larger scale.

That combination matters to suppliers. A company moving rapidly from development activity to substantial equipment sales needs more than additional components. It needs repeatable purchasing, consistent production information and support arrangements that remain workable as customers and product revisions multiply. KrattWorks' public record provides several concrete points from which to assess those needs.

A private Tallinn company with a sharp change in sales

The Estonian business register identifies KrattWorks OÜ and its Tallinn address. The registered shareholders are Tõnis Voitka and Mattias Luha, each with 50%. Historical announcements of investor participation should be read alongside that current legal record rather than used to invent a present ownership percentage for an earlier backer.

The company's 2025 annual report records €19,508,714 of revenue and €8,048,067 of profit. Revenue in the comparative year was €673,054. The staff note reports an average of 35 full-time-equivalent workers, while management separately describes the team growing to 60 during the year. These are company-only accounts, not consolidated figures including the subsidiary.

The scale change is substantial, but its interpretation needs the same care as the numbers. A larger year's sales establish delivered commercial activity; they do not establish a permanent annual growth rate. Management's account of its 2026 priorities emphasises product development, organisational processes and entry into additional markets, without forecasting another increase in activity volumes.

For an industrial partner, that makes a proposal to improve repeatability more specific than a proposal based only on expected market growth. A supplier of assemblies could show how it would maintain a stable configuration across repeat deliveries. A production-software partner could focus on the handover between engineering changes and purchasing. Both address the practical consequences of the company's changed scale.

Two product families create different purchasing patterns

KrattWorks' current product directory names Ghost Dragon in its reconnaissance offering and DART, DART-R and PARM in its aerial-target family. The categories serve different customer purposes. This profile does not treat a training product as interchangeable with an aircraft bought for information collection, even when the manufacturer has engineering and production capabilities that contribute to both.

For the training-product business, a purchaser could also separate the aircraft supply from the scheduling and support services needed for its programme. That would make the cost of replenishment visible without assuming that the initial ground equipment must be purchased again. The appropriate comparison is the complete agreed service period, with its stated quantities and responsibilities.

The commercial distinction affects how a customer returns to the supplier. A training organisation may organise purchases around a scheduled programme and replenishment needs. An institution acquiring a reconnaissance system may place more emphasis on its continuing software, maintenance and equipment support. Those are different patterns of demand, and a component supplier should establish which product and customer programme its quotation supports.

A hypothetical electronics manufacturer bidding for repeat assembly work would therefore need more than a total aircraft forecast. It would need an agreed product configuration, a delivery schedule and a process for approving substitutions. If the work includes multiple product families, the quotation should make their differences visible. That would help KrattWorks compare manufacturing offers without assuming that every aircraft consumes the same parts or requires the same production effort.

The Unmanned Defense Systems profile is a useful adjacent reference for understanding an aircraft business through product and industrial relationships. It does not establish equivalence between the companies' products. It helps a reader separate the role of an aircraft manufacturer from the roles of software, component and service partners.

A buyer confirms the historical training relationship

Estonia's Centre for Defence Investments named KrattWorks in its March 2023 supplier recognition announcement. The buyer identifies the company as a contractual partner producing and supplying aerial targets to the Estonian Defence Forces. That is independent institutional evidence of the relationship, although the recognition announcement does not provide a current order balance.

The company offers additional historical context in its review of 2022. It describes target-aircraft business and a relationship with DefSecIntel involving a drone nest for the latter's surveillance platform. The dated account is useful because it shows two routes to customers: direct supply and inclusion in another company's system.

Those routes create different opportunities for a new partner. A business supplying KrattWorks directly would answer to its purchasing and production requirements. A business seeking to work on a wider surveillance platform would need to understand the platform integrator's responsibility as well. The presence of KrattWorks equipment within another system does not mean that the aircraft manufacturer controls every purchase associated with that system.

BadB demonstrates a changing consortium role

The European Commission's original BadB project factsheet listed KrattWorks as coordinator, with GIM, KappaZeta and Rigr AI. It reported a maximum EU contribution of €5,769,564 for the whole project. That amount is a consortium grant ceiling, not KrattWorks' revenue or individual allocation.

The current project record presents a more recent organisational picture. A November 2025 KappaZeta account identifies KappaZeta as coordinator, and the project website now uses that designation. KrattWorks' own contribution profile describes its role around the aircraft portion of the work. The original selection document and the current project communications therefore belong at different points in the programme's history.

For a prospective research partner, this distinction is operationally useful at the commercial level: the organisation responsible for coordination is not necessarily the organisation responsible for an individual product contribution. An enquiry about a consortium relationship should follow the current project structure. An enquiry about aircraft work can be directed to the participant responsible for that area.

A subsequent project update describes the move from design into implementation and integration after the first year. Its commercial significance is evidence of continuing joint work with named partners. It should not be read as a finished product announcement or as a separate aircraft production order.

Manufacturing relationships need an identified role

KrattWorks' public contact structure separates sales, purchasing, prospective suppliers and representatives. That distinction is helpful for an outside company because it recognises that selling components to the manufacturer and representing its products to customers are different relationships. The current page also displays ISO 9001 and AQAP 2110 certification claims; a customer requiring certificate scope should obtain the applicable record for its proposed work.

A representation proposal should identify the market and customer access it brings. A supplier proposal should identify the part or process it can deliver. Neither becomes more persuasive by describing the entire growth of the drone sector. The accounts and programme record already show that KrattWorks has commercial activity; the useful addition is evidence that a partner can solve a particular delivery problem.

The Origin Robotics profile offers another Baltic manufacturer for comparison on ownership, financing and production relationships. KrattWorks' distinguishing public evidence is its large 2025 sales step, its two product categories and its participation in collaborative development. Future reporting will be most informative when it shows how those elements translate into repeat orders, stable production and sustained customer support.
