Elistair occupies a specific place in the drone industry: it supplies tethered aircraft and the equipment that connects an aircraft to a ground or vehicle platform. Its commercial proposition centres on sustained observation and integration into another organisation’s system. Recent public records connect the French company to ground-vehicle manufacturers, maritime robotics suppliers and civil-protection equipment integrators.

That mix makes Elistair relevant beyond standalone aircraft procurement. A vehicle manufacturer can be a route to an eventual government customer; a port-security research project can develop another application; and a tethering station can serve an operator’s existing aircraft fleet. These are related businesses, but their purchasing relationships and supporting evidence differ.

Identity, ownership and available figures

Elistair’s legal notice identifies a French SAS registered under SIREN 805271855 in Dardilly, near Lyon. The French public company API, reviewed on 6 September 2026, records an active company created on 3 October 2014. This provides a clear legal identity behind the trading name.

The company named Guilhem de Marliave and Timothée Penet as its co-founders in its March 2021 financing release. That announcement disclosed a €5 million Series B from Omnes and existing investor Starquest Capital, following €2 million raised in 2018. It is historical evidence of private investment, without a current ownership percentage breakdown.

Elistair is therefore described here as privately held; no controlling parent or founder majority is asserted. Its public registry extract provides an older employee band rather than a current exact headcount. A reliable, period-defined turnover figure was also not established from the accessible primary material. Both figures remain undisclosed in this profile. The financing amount is capital raised, separate from customer revenue.

Aircraft and stations serve different buying decisions

The 2021 release distinguished complete Orion 2 aircraft systems from stations that tether third-party aircraft. The current public website navigation presents Khronos as the dronebox system and Safe-T and Ligh-T as station families. This gives Elistair two commercial positions: complete-system supplier and equipment supplier within somebody else’s aircraft arrangement.

For an institutional buyer, that distinction changes the scope of the purchase. A complete aircraft system brings aircraft, controls and support into one supplier relationship. A station purchase leaves more of the existing aircraft relationship intact. Compatibility, responsibility for servicing and the boundaries of each manufacturer’s warranty consequently matter to the commercial comparison.

Khronos is also marketed through larger platform integrations. Elistair’s Rheinmetall Canada announcement, posted on 18 January 2024 with a 16 January dateline, describes a partnership combining the dronebox with the Mission Master vehicle family. A demonstration at Rheinmetall Canada’s facility preceded the agreement. The participating European military officials were unnamed.

This is evidence of a manufacturer relationship and a demonstrated combination. It identifies Rheinmetall Canada’s vehicle business as a potential channel for Elistair’s equipment; it does not disclose an order by those observers.

The ARX announcement, published on 27 November 2024, described Khronos paired with ARX’s Gereon RCS vehicle. According to the companies’ statement, the combination participated in a three-week experimentation series run by the Bundeswehr’s Army Concepts and Capabilities Development Centre.

The commercial significance is a second named vehicle-manufacturer relationship. It also shows why partner announcements should be read individually: ARX’s record describes experimentation, while the later Milrem statement describes a contract. Combining the two into a single account of military sales would discard useful information about maturity.

Milrem: an order with a disclosed package

Elistair’s February 2025 release reported a €3 million contract secured in collaboration with Milrem Robotics. The stated package included Khronos systems, initial spare parts, training and support. Milrem would supply the vehicles carrying the equipment. The ultimate allied military customer was not identified.

The announcement, posted on 14 February with a 12 February dateline, scheduled deliveries to begin in the second quarter of 2025. That is the schedule at announcement, rather than a subsequently verified completion record. The public release does not provide an accounting schedule for recognition of the contract value.

For suppliers studying Elistair, the useful detail is the package composition. Spare parts and training place the relationship beyond a bare hardware sale. Vehicle integration adds another manufacturer’s delivery timetable. The business being described requires coordination between the aircraft supplier, vehicle supplier and institutional customer, even though the public statement leaves the underlying contracting structure largely private.

Greece: civil protection through a local integrator

A different route appears in the 13 May 2025 Greek announcement. Elistair said it had won a contract to supply 13 tethered surveillance drones to Terra Spatium. Their intended destination was mobile operations centres for the Hellenic Fire Service.

Here, the identified immediate commercial relationship is with a Greek company. The fire service is the intended institutional user. That distinction is useful to a smaller supplier assessing the market: delivering a component to an integrator can connect it to a public programme without making it the prime contractor for the entire system.

The release places the aircraft alongside workstations, communications equipment and other equipment within the mobile centres. It does not disclose Elistair’s contract value. Its relevance is the named customer chain and civil-protection application, which broaden the company’s public demand evidence beyond military vehicle integrations.

Maritime development has two separate anchors

The European Commission’s SMAUG project record independently identifies Elistair as a participant in a maritime-security research consortium coordinated by Indra. It lists €300,050 as Elistair’s net EU contribution within a total project contribution of approximately €6 million. The recorded project dates run from October 2023 to 30 September 2026.

That funding supports research participation; the consortium’s whole budget is not Elistair revenue. In its June 2025 account, Elistair reported a May proof of concept with Maritime Robotics and described planned demonstrations in Valencia and Drammen. Those plans should retain their announced status unless supported by later completion records.

A separate, more recent primary source comes from Exail in July 2026. Exail reported completed sea trials incorporating Khronos and a Safran observation camera onto DriX O-16. This partner account corroborates an additional maritime integration. It establishes a trial milestone, without disclosing a subsequent production order.

How to place Elistair in the market

Elistair’s public record supports a company profile built around integrations and distinct customer channels. Its station business addresses existing aircraft arrangements, while Khronos creates opportunities within vehicle and vessel platforms. The strongest follow-up signals would be named repeat orders, customer acceptance records and continuing support agreements for those particular combinations.

Current shareholder percentages, exact workforce, turnover and completed delivery totals remain outside the verified public record used here.
